Peter Simister Speaks at Ontario Heritage Conference 2017

June 23, 2017

The Ontario Heritage Conference, organized by Community Heritage Ontario, takes place each year to provide education on historical sites, building, restoration and preservation methods along with legal advice on protecting these places. The conference provides a platform for Heritage Professionals to exchange ideas amongst each other and share success stories as well as lessons learned.  The conference offer tours and presentations along with networking opportunities.

Peter Simister, a member of the Canadian Association of Heritage Professionals (CAHP), spoke at the conference June 10th.  He presented a case study of local landmark Birkett House and CSV’s involvement in the foundation replacement and restoration of the Sunroom following earthquake damage in 2010.  You can read more about the project here.
